King Gesar The Great
The Legend from ling
King Gesar (about 1038-1119 AD) was a legendary Tibetan hero who was born in Dege County, Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture. Later generations called him King Gesar of Ling. According to legend, King Gesar is also the incarnation of the Guru Rinpoche and his wisdom, compassion and power.

Life Story of the Buddha Gesar of Ling
On May 26, 2012 during the Gesar Windhorse Retreat at Padma Samye Ling, Venerable Khenpo Tsewng Dongyal Rinpoche taught the brief life story of Gesar of Ling, the direct emanation of Guru Padmasambhava, and an emanation of the Three Lords Manjushri, Chenrezig, and Vajrapani.
